Since 1967, Summer Carnival in Senj has been one the most exciting events in Kvarner. During the main parade on Saturday 3,000 masked participants pass the streets of Senj surrounded with 12,000 spectators. Besides the Croatian carnival groups, there are many guest groups from around Europe such as those from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Sweden.
