"Kastavsko kulturno leto" is a summer festival held in a picturesque medieval town of Kastav. In its 18 years history, it has grown into a diverse festival of stage plays, art exhibitions, popular, classical and jazz music.
With the creation of its Guitar Festival, "Kastavsko kulturno leto" acquired the international character and fame it has today. From its inception in 1997., some of the world's best guitar players have performed in Kastav.
Besides Guitar Festival, there is also Chakavian Chanson Festival with the aim of preserving the tradition of chakavian dialect of Kvarner region through music and poetry.
